Since the age of 10, Richard Edinger has lived in Fargo, North Dakota. He graduated from North Dakota State University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in political science. In January 1993, he enrolled at Thomas Cooley Law School (Lansing, MI), the largest law school in the country. During law school, he received American Jurisprudence Awards in Advocacy and Research and Writing. In January 1996, he graduated cum laude from law school.

Since June 1996, Mr. Edinger has been a sole practitioner in the Fargo-Moorhead area. His practice has focused primarily on criminal defense and DUI defense. From July 2001 to January 2006, he was a public defender for Cass County, North Dakota. He has literally defended thousands of criminal cases and hundreds of DUI cases. He had a wide range of experience in all kinds of criminal cases--driving under suspension cases, DUI cases, drug cases, assault cases, domestic violence cases, manslaughter cases and many other types of cases. Mr. Edinger is one of the few criminal defense attorneys in the area with a winning trial record.* Mr. Edinger also has extensive appellate experience, having represented clients in dozens of appeals.

Mr. Edinger is currently licensed in the State of North Dakota, the United States District Court for the District of North Dakota, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

* In 17 jury trials, Mr. Edinger has obtained 9 acquittals and one hung jury verdict.
